I see this offlining of content played out in the worse way. In front of many chinese restaurants, malls, grocery stores, you can pick up free weekly chinese newspapers. None of them publish original content. Many are straight copies from internet websites, blogs, forums. They don't put where it is copied from, or the author on the articles, they don't even pretend it's original content. A few translates english newspaper articles (Globe and Mail, etc), also with no reference. They are getting away with this blatant disregard of copyright because they are hard copy, small distribution newspapers. Owners of web content on the other side of the world is not going to come chase these small fish.
